BestBuy has this cheap Progressive Scan DVD player priced at $70 with free shipping. It seems to support many formats, as is the norm for these cheaper players. Can be hacked for macrovision free and region-free goodness.

There's another thread somewhere on here about this -- I just bought it yesterday in store, got an additional $20 rebate (register printed) - 10-% preferred customer mailing = $42.99 AR ,before tax.

The rebate is apparently not available online.

Some people say they work well when the firmware is updated to the latest release. I believe the firmware is from Dec 23 '02 or so.

EDIT: I read that the $20 in store is valid until the end of January, online there is a $10 from 01/12 to 02/28.
