Ive seen PS3's but I havent seen Wii's and I really have been looking for one. Wanna get me one The PS3 price is what I really think is driving people away

I think that's really the key. $600 is a LOT for the average parent to shell out for a console when you figure that's just the initial investment. It's easily $900-$1000 to get started. That's more than double several other viable options. If you don't have an HDTV to really take advantage of it, that may be out of range for most people at this point.

Just one basic configuration - console + Wii sports for $249.99

The basic with one controller and the 5 sports games (includes wifi) is $250, however several sites from different stores (toy-r-us, walmart, etc) are forcing you to buy several games and other stuff so they can charge a hefty premium - between $540 and $650 typically, which is truely a rip-off.

You're forgetting that the PS3 uses a very similar system that of the PSP. I have the PSP and you know how easy it is to play bootlegs on it with the latest firmware and no modchip? :bigok:

Sadly, agreed Weakness about the PS3 right now is that there aren't any attractive games. I personally am dying to play Resident Evil 5.

give it some time...

sure its sporting some terrible launch titles, but this is true of almost any launch. Give it 1 year or more and there should be a lot of depth. Last year xbox had very little on the shelf and nothing i thought was amazing. Over a year later and it has some decent choices now.

I have both systems and right now the Wii is the one getting all of my attention, the games are really good for them. None of the PS3 games suit me, and I know a price drop probably won't come for awhile, but it is nice to have the blu-ray.
