AliExpress is offering a coupon good for $15 off $70

Works for both new and existing customers!

1. Go to AliExpress

2. Use one of the following
- Promo code NEWAEBUYER to get $7 off $15
- Promo code AENEW to get $15 off $70

3. Go to AliExpress - Login or create an account and go shopping

Maybe I am stupid... but I do not see an option to apply a coupon.
I have $16 in my cart and it only gives me an option to Apply AliExpress Coupon from a drop-down list which is empty (saying You don’t have any coupons)
 
AliExpress now requires new customers to send them a picture of their credit card, bank statement and ID.

Incorrect, I just made an account and placed an order this week and did not have to do any of the things you listed.
 
Account opened. Said I was not eligible for a coupon. WTF? Account closed!
